Daniel Craig Accidentally Broke Dave Bautista’s Nose During ‘Spectre’ Fight Scene

Daniel Craig recounted an incident from the set of Spectre where he unintentionally broke Dave Bautista’s nose while filming a fight scene. The two actors were portraying Bond and the villain Mr. Hinx in a particularly memorable and physically demanding sequence, often praised as one of Craig’s best action scenes in the James Bond films.

While appearing on The Graham Norton Show to talk about his last James Bond movie, No Time to Die, Daniel Craig revealed he accidentally injured Dave Bautista during filming. He explained that he threw a punch that landed on Bautista’s nose, and he was immediately worried after hearing a cracking sound. “I panicked and ran away,” Craig said, adding that he feared Bautista would retaliate, but Bautista was actually very understanding. Bautista was able to quickly fix his own nose, allowing them to continue filming. Craig jokingly admitted, “He’s definitely tougher than me.”

The stunt work also put Craig in danger. He explained that Dave Bautista accidentally injured his knee during a fight scene. “I hit the wall, but my knee ended up way over there,” Craig recalled. “I immediately knew something was seriously wrong – it’s just how it feels when you have a bad injury.”

This story offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the demanding physical work actors do to create Bond’s iconic fight scenes. It shows that both Daniel Craig and Dave Bautista were fully committed to the action, even when things didn’t go as planned.
