Beginning on Tuesday, September 17, at 8 p.m. Eastern Time, both ABC and Disney+ will introduce the 33rd season of Dancing with the Stars. Familiar faces you’ve grown to love will be back this time around. The dynamic duo, Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro, will once again grace our screens as co-hosts, reprising their beloved roles from previous seasons. Their charming personalities and expertise promise an entertaining and informative viewing experience for everyone.

Additionally, the panel of judges will consist of Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough, returning to their customary positions. In June 2023, Alfonso Ribeiro was thrilled about Julianne Hough joining him as a co-host on Dancing with the Stars, believing their past connection would lead to fantastic chemistry. He stated that during her tenure as a judge in his season on the show, they developed a strong rapport.

As per Ribeiro’s explanation, the bond between them had grown increasingly strong as time went on, and he believed that spectators would sense this profound connection. To highlight their friendship, he recalled a recent outing where they shared not just a meal but also casual, leisurely activities together.

Ribeiro felt that these shared experiences showcased their casual yet sincere friendship, a bond he anticipated would make a significant impact on their TV dynamic. Inaba and Tonioli, long-standing judges of Dancing with the Stars, have been part of the show since its debut in June 2005.

Over time, their significant involvement and unwavering participation became distinctive traits of the series, offering a feeling of reliability and continuity across numerous episodes. Their lengthy association with the show underscored their dedication and contribution to its continued prosperity.

As a dedicated follower and former professional dancer, I stepped into the judging role for Season 29 of the show, starting in 2020. My journey with this amazing program began way back from Season 5 to Season 11, where I danced my heart out on the stage.

During Season 12, he temporarily stepped away, but he resurfaced for additional appearances in Seasons 13 through 21, as well as Season 23. In 2020, he was brought back as a judge and was warmly welcomed. He referred to this return as a “homecoming,” emphasizing his deep emotional connection with the show.
