She explained that she thought everyone knew about and agreed to the relationship. “He said you knew what was happening and gave your approval,” Johnson continued. “If that’s not true, please tell me, because I don’t like dishonesty. I don’t want to be involved in any lies.”

Johnson quickly added, “Feel free to contact me whenever—if you need more information, want to talk, or just need to vent. Sending you love and light, Madeline.” She then kissed Allen on the cheek, which got a strong reaction from the audience.

The song “Madeline” details Taylor Allen’s relationship with her husband, actor David Harbour, and the difficulties they faced with their open marriage. Allen explores how boundaries established in their relationship were crossed.

Eventually, the identity of the woman who inspired the song became known. She’s Natalie Tippett, a costume designer who David Harbour met while they were both working on a movie in New Orleans back in 2021.

The Saturday Night Live sketch immediately went viral, and viewers described it as daring, uncomfortable, and unforgettable.
