As a gamer who grew up with Star Wars being the soundtrack of my childhood, I must admit that Daisy Ridley‘s choices for her favorite Star Wars movies resonate deeply with me, especially considering her personal connection to the franchise. While some fans might argue about the ranking, I find it refreshing to see a list that reflects not just objective filmmaking quality, but also emotional significance.
Daisy Ridley’s career reached remarkable success primarily through her character as Rey in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, which rejuvenated the series for a fresh audience. Initially, she was introduced as Rey, a scavenger on the arid world of Jakku, who becomes instrumental in the battle against the First Order.
Nevertheless, the subsequent trilogy drew criticism from certain fans, who found fault with Ridley’s character and considered it to be overly idealized or perfect, often referred to as a “Mary Sue.
Ridley, who’s had difficulties with the franchise’s response, has openly acknowledged that the criticism took a toll on her well-being. Yet, she’s eager to rejoin the project, having grown more mature, knowledgeable, and skilled. A standalone film titled “New Jedi Order” is being crafted at present.
Currently, we’re eagerly waiting for news about her forthcoming movie. Notably, Ridley has shared her personal preferences for the top 5 Star Wars films in a chat with Canal+.

If you’re unable to see the post here’s the list:
1st Original: ‘The Force Awakens’
As a devoted enthusiast, I’ve weighed in on the list, and while there were varying viewpoints, most of us concurred that it was thoughtfully put together. The pinnacle position was rightly claimed by “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” a film that resonated deeply with me due to Ridley’s profound link to it.
A list with a strong focus on the topics, and Teach For America (TFA) might not be in its most prominent position, but it’s clear to see why it was placed first in the sequence. Apart from that minor adjustment, the list is well-organized and well done 👍🏼

She’s out of line, but she’s right

Choosing TFA as number one? That’s fantastic for her. That film is among my top three favorites, and it holds a unique significance to me. I can hardly fathom its importance to her given how dramatically it impacted her life and career trajectory. I admire her boldness in selecting an uncommon choice for number five. I regret the potential backlash she may encounter.

It’s perfectly reasonable that she chose The Force Awakens (TFA) as her favorite, given its personal importance to her. However, it’s quite surprising that Attack of the Clones (AotC) ranks higher than A New Hope (ANH), which is typically more highly regarded.
