A trailer has just been released for We Bury the Dead, a thrilling zombie survival movie starring Daisy Ridley. The film, written and directed by Zak Hilditch, follows Ava Newman as she frantically searches for her husband after a failed military experiment. Her quest leads her to a team that collects bodies, but she soon faces a terrifying reality: the corpses she buries are starting to reanimate.
I’m really excited about this movie! Daisy Ridley plays the main character, Ava, and she’s fantastic. The supporting cast is great too – Mark Coles Smith and Brenton Thwaites both have important roles. You’ll also see Kym Jackson, Matt Whelan, and Deanna Cooney, making for a really solid group of actors. From what I’ve heard, it’s a pretty intense story – it blends horror with a lot of heart, as Ava deals with some really tough stuff like grief and loss, all while trying to find her husband… and battling the undead, of course!
Daisy Ridley, known for her role in Star Wars, isn’t the only one facing unresolved issues in the trailer for the upcoming film, We Bury the Dead. The movie centers around a disaster that brings the dead back to life. Vertical will release the zombie thriller, written and directed by Zak Hilditch, in theaters on January 2, 2026.
