As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for cinematic chemistry and a rich background in film analysis, I must say that Daisy Edgar-Jones and Jacob Elordi’s bonding seems to be more than just acting magic. Their shared appreciation for each other’s talents and the intelligent dynamics developed between their characters in On Swift Horses is a testament to the power of great scripts, skilled direction, and mutual respect among cast members.
More recently, Daisy Edgar-Jones spoke about how swiftly she formed a strong connection with her fellow actor Jacob Elordi, in preparation for their upcoming film On Swift Horses. Following their recent collaboration at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), the actress expressed her admiration towards Elordi.
In conversation about the film that debuted at a prestigious festival, Edgar-Jones remarked, “Working with Jacob was easy to create a spark,” adding that he found Jacob to be “charming.
After turning 26, the actress further mentioned that it was during the shooting of the scenes depicting their relationship and its intelligent development with Elordi’s character, which she found to be particularly engaging.
Afterward, she likened her process of reading the scripts to savoring poetry, finding beauty and appreciation in every aspect of the unfolding tale.
In addition to praising director Daniel Minahan, the actress from “Where the Crawdads Sing” also expressed her appreciation for how he provided room for us to interact and perform freely. She noted that many of our initial scenes in the movie were filmed first, which she found particularly beneficial.
Simultaneously, the actor known for “He Went That Way” shared some insights, expressing his affection for his cowboy persona. He mentioned that there was an instant connection with Daisy Edgar-Jones in their roles.
Speaking about his audition process for the movie, Elordi described it as feeling more like a collaborative workshop, filled with enjoyable times shared with Daisy and the director.
On Swift Horses is a movie based on the 2019 book of the same name penned by Shannon Pufahl.
According to the storyline of the film, it revolves around a newlywed pair – Muriel, played by Toni Collette, and Lee, embodied by Will Poulter – embarking on their fresh start following Lee’s return from the Korean War.
During this time, Elordi’s character, who happens to be Lee’s younger brother named Julius, arrives on the scene. Subsequently, a rather dismal love triangle unfolds as they all contemplate moving to California. However, an unexpected twist occurs when Julius vanishes and decides to relocate to Las Vegas instead.
As a devoted follower, I’m thrilled to share that this upcoming film boasts not only three remarkable actors but also Sasha Calle, Kat Cunning, and Diego Calva. Although we had the privilege of its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 7, 2024, it’s currently seeking distributors to bring this masterpiece to the big screen.
