Dafne Keen, the 21-year-old star of the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine movie, recently posted a stunning photo on Instagram. She shared the glamorous shot to showcase the work of makeup artist Sarah Hill, revealing a more polished and mature look for the actress, who is often known for playing tough and determined characters.

Dafne Keen first gained widespread recognition for her role as Laura in the 2017 film Logan, which brought her international praise. She then appeared with Andy García in the comedy-drama Ana, directed by Charles McDougall. Though the film wasn’t released until 2020 due to several delays, reviewers consistently highlighted Keen’s captivating screen presence and charisma, with some drawing comparisons to a young Natalie Portman.
In 2022, Amandla Stenberg was cast in the Star Wars series The Acolyte, created by Leslye Headland. Headland wrote the character of Jecki Lon specifically for Stenberg, having been a fan of her performance in Logan. Stenberg prepared for the role by listening to David Bowie, even playfully suggesting her character’s look was inspired by the iconic artist. The series debuted on Disney+ in 2024, solidifying her status as a prominent figure in popular fandoms.
2024 was a huge year for the actress, marked by her unexpected return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She reprised her role as Laura in Deadpool & Wolverine, teaming up once again with Hugh Jackman in a movie that became the highest-grossing R-rated film ever. This film was her biggest success yet, becoming the second-highest-grossing movie worldwide that year.
Keen is now working in horror, starring in Corin Hardy’s film, Whistle. The movie centers around a group of high school outcasts who find an old Aztec whistle that unleashes frightening supernatural powers. Whistle is set to be released in North American theaters on February 6th.
The actress has some exciting roles coming up. She’ll be starring in “Night Comes,” Jay Hernandez’s first feature film as a director, a thriller about two sisters struggling to survive after a disaster. She’s also joining the cast of the Disney+ series “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” as the goddess Artemis for its third season.
Beyond her work in movies, actress Naomi Keen has said her acting is inspired by performers like Meryl Streep, Gena Rowlands, and Olivia Colman. She loves classic films too, often mentioning musicals such as Singin’ in the Rain and dramas like In the Mood for Love as some of her favorites. In her next project, Driver, she’ll play Camden, a young woman in London, and will also be one of the film’s producers.
