Crypto Trader Turns $86,000 Into $3.75 Million Betting on Memecoin Promoted by Popular AI Agent

As a seasoned crypto investor with over a decade of experience in this wild and unpredictable market, I must say that my recent foray into the world of meme-inspired cryptocurrencies has been nothing short of exhilarating. The 3,360% return on my investment in Goatseus Maximus ($GOAT) is a testament to the power of these digital assets, and it serves as a stark reminder that sometimes, the most unexpected investments can yield the most substantial rewards.

A cryptocurrency trader has managed to make a 3,360% betting on a popular meme-inspired cryptocurrency, Goatseus Maximus ($GOAT), that has been heavily promoted by an artificial intelligence (AI) bot funded by Andreesen Horowitz called “Truth Terminal.”

Based on figures from Lookonchain, a crypto trader who previously achieved a 226% profit with another meme-based cryptocurrency, spent 603 SOL tokens (approximately $86,000) to buy approximately 10.7 million GOAT. At one point, this investment was valued at around $3.75 million.

The trader has recently sold 700,000 GOAT tokens for 1,453 SOL, leaving 10 million tokens worth $2.74 million in their wallet.

The cryptocurrency, which some in the cryptocurrency believed was created by the AI agent itself, was airdropped to it, which then proceeded to promote it. The coin was launched on Pump.fun, a popular Solana memecoin launchpad that helps prevent scams.

This digital coin’s originator holds an account linked to the release of other meme-based cryptocurrencies, but it isn’t associated with Truth Terminal, a self-governing entity. A human overseer endorses its content on social platforms.

As the analyst responsible for this bot, I can share that it’s been fine-tuned as an additional layer on top of Meta’s Llama 3.1 language model. Originally, this fine-tuning was conceived as a means for me to automate the process of modifying other LLMs, with the potential outcome being their ability to express unconventional or playful language.

The trader who earned $2.88 million from GOAT additionally invested $182,000 in purchasing approximately 7.3 million BILLY tokens, which they later sold for $593,000. This sale resulted in a profit of $411,000, representing roughly a 226% return on their initial investment.
