On a recent Friday, Crunchyroll shared news (previously via Twitter) about delayed dubbing for 22 episodes spread across 11 diverse series. This delay is attributed to the effects of particularly harsh weather conditions.
A significant snowstorm swept through the South U.S. on a Friday, impacting locations such as Texas, Georgia, and certain sections of Oklahoma. This weather system led to approximately 3,000 canceled flights and power failures in the affected areas.
Texas, where Crunchyroll’s in-house dubbing studio is based, has been particularly impacted.

Because of the weather conditions, Crunchyroll has needed to postpone the dubbing tasks for the episodes previously stated. Their primary studio primarily employs talent based in Texas, and since spring 2022, they have been focusing on in-person recording sessions.
