Critical Role Cast Reunites for Epic Charity One-Shot to Aid LA Wildfire Relief!

The original cast of Critical Role is reuniting for an enjoyable evening, and they’re extending an invitation for you to join them in this unique tabletop role-playing experience. In fact, they are organizing a live, one-off charity event that aims to collect funds for the wildfire relief efforts in Los Angeles.

On January 30th, I’m excited to join the global audience tuning into Critical Role’s “Freaky Thursday” event, a unique and interactive charity livestream. This one-shot game, which isn’t part of the regular campaign, promises a dose of chaos! The Bells Hells team from the third RPG series will be in action, under the watchful eye of Game Master Matthew Mercer. Ashley Johnson, Marisha Ray, Taliesin Jaffe, Travis Willingham, Sam Riegel, Laura Bailey, and Liam O’Brien will be there, ready to embark on this exciting adventure that awaits Bells Hells.

In a curious bet, two powerful beings from elemental realms question if contemporary heroes like Bells Hells are as brave and tenacious as their legendary counterparts. Upon hearing about the daring escapades of Bells Hells in Exandria, these entities decide to put them through a series of trials designed to test their courage, intelligence, and adaptability. At the same time, they secretly influence the outcome of these challenges, tilting the balance between Order and Chaos according to their wager. Strange enchantments permeate the landscape as spectators from various realms interfere with the challenges, altering obstacles or even swapping the characters’ roles mid-battle! Can Bells Hells endure this gauntlet of conflicts, and will either Order or Chaos ultimately define what it means to be a hero?

Viewers who tune into Critical Role’s Beacon membership, Twitch, or YouTube channels have the opportunity to do more than just observe. The group’s latest fundraising endeavor, “Freaky Thursday,” aims to aid in the recovery from the Los Angeles wildfires. Here, fans can either donate or acquire rewards that will have a direct impact on the campaign. At the current moment, over $19,000 has already been donated. This initiative comes from Critical Role.

By making your generous contributions here, you’re directly supporting grants to three crucial organizations: the California Community Foundation Wildfire Recovery Fund, the Latino Community Foundation, and the LA Fire Department Foundation. Furthermore, a tenth of every donation will be allocated towards Critical Role’s emergency fund, ensuring they can swiftly provide aid during any unforeseen future natural emergencies.

The organization, along with its Critical Role Foundation and supporters, have already made significant contributions to aid Southern California. They donated $30,000 to the Wildfire Recovery Fund managed by the California Community Foundation, all without reuniting the original cast for an escapade.
