Today, British game developer Creative Assembly is marking the 25th anniversary of their acclaimed Total War series. To celebrate, they’ve announced a special event dedicated to Total War, scheduled for late December 2025 – the Total War: 25th Anniversary Showcase. During this event, they will reveal upcoming games within the series that you can look forward to playing in the near and far future, while also introducing the development teams behind these exciting projects.
Correctly understood: ‘Games,’ plural, meaning multiple options. Additionally, CA assured that there would be content catering to enthusiasts of both fantasy and historical themes.
Speculation about possible settings for future Total War games abounds, ranging from Warhammer 40,000 and Star Wars to historical eras like World War 1. Given that multiple games are in development, the chances of these rumors being accurate have increased.
At the upcoming showcase, the studio is set to reveal more anticipated content for Total War: Warhammer 3.
In July 2025, further details about Tides of Torment, the upcoming DLC for the game, will be unveiled, featuring its third and concluding playable faction. Already confirmed for the expansion is Sayl the Fathless from Norsca, as well as Dechala the Denied One with her Daemons of Slaanesh.
Next week, we’re planning to roll out an update for Total War: Warhammer 3 that includes improvements to magical artifacts and the introduction of two new, free playable units!
