Larry Fong, who filmed Batman v Superman, has hinted that director Zack Snyder might work on future DC Comics movies.
Fong posted a still from the movie Batman v Superman on X (formerly Twitter), and it quickly got a lot of attention from fans. One fan even used the hashtag #RestoreTheSnyderverse, showing their enthusiasm about the post.
Fong shared some old memories on Instagram, inspired by posts from Zack Snyder. He said these were just nostalgic shares and people shouldn’t assume there’s a hidden meaning. However, when a fan speculated Snyder might be hinting at something, Fong playfully responded, ‘Never say never…’

In a 2023 interview, Zack Snyder discussed his plans for future DC projects. He stated he doesn’t intend to direct any more superhero movies, especially now that the original DC Extended Universe is ending with Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. However, he’d consider returning to direct a true-to-the-source adaptation of Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns if James Gunn asked him to.
Though Zack Snyder isn’t currently directing any DC films, he’s still contributing to the DC Universe. He recently advised James Gunn on the design of David Corenswet’s Superman suit for the new Superman movie, demonstrating that his creative ideas are still appreciated, even when he’s not in charge of a project.
