As a dedicated Brown Dust 2 player with countless hours invested in mastering the game’s intricate mechanics and strategies, I can confidently say that White Cat Rou (WC.Rou) is one of the most valuable assets any player could have, especially for those who engage in Player versus Player (PVP) battles.

Rou for PVE
As a gamer, I’ve found that even though WC.Rou is primarily known for her PvP costuming skills, I can’t deny the value she brings to the table during specific PvE encounters. Her knockback ability comes in handy when dealing with particularly aggressive mobs or bosses. So while she may not be my go-to character for all battles, having WC.Rou in my roster adds an extra layer of strategy and versatility to my gaming experience.
As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I must admit that I’ve come across some unique abilities in various games. Among them, there’s one character whose knockback range truly stands out to me. This special someone pushes back their target an impressive three tiles, making it the longest knockback effect I’ve ever encountered.
Secondly, Rou’s knockback damage is by far the strongest. The table below shows how Rou, Teresse and Kry compare. Note that, even though Teresse’s burn damage seems higher, it’s actually very very low because Teresse has a pitiful base ATK of only 132 (compared to Rou’s base ATK of 308).
Character (+5 full potential) | Collision damage | Burn damage |
WC.Rou | 212% max HP of target | 215% ATK, 6 turns |
AOD.Teresse | 150% max HP of target | 225% ATK, 6 turns |
VS.Kry | 100% max HP of target | 130% ATK, 6 turns |
1. Ro’s powerful push-back damage is particularly handy against formidable adversaries, since both the impact damage and burn damage have a high chance of being critical hits.
thirdly, Rou’s ability to dodge makes a significant difference in challenging engagements where you cannot finish the battle in one round. This skill allows Rou to entirely avoid powerful enemy attacks that would otherwise be fatal, provided the number of hits is not excessively high.
When it comes to facing large groups of enemies or individuals without the ability to push them back, or those with immunity to being knocked back, Rou is less effective. Consequently, she may not be the ideal character for fiend hunts, Last Night, and Tower of Pride events.
Rou for PVP
In player versus player (PVP) situations, Rou truly excels. The cost for this skill, WC.Rou, is a mere 1 skill point. It’s a highly valuable investment for just 1 skill point in the game.
Initially, Rou is an effective assassin. In player versus player situations, Rou has a considerable probability of inflicting collision damage on her target. If she lands a critical hit, it usually results in the opponent’s elimination. Moreover, if the primary target has a low defense stat, the secondary unit might also succumb to burn damage, resulting in two kills using just one skill point.
WC.Rou has a second advantage: she obtains an evasion boost, making it challenging to eliminate her. Her durability can significantly impact the outcome of matches. Keep in mind that buff eliminators are not very efficient against WC.Rou since they must first reach her to remove her evasion.
In general, a dark-type tank character faces significant challenges in PVP from light-type opponents like Justia. Surprisingly, however, WC.Rou is an effective counter to Justia due to the fact that many of Justia’s abilities have a low number of hits, making them susceptible to Rou’s evasive maneuvers.
3rd Point: WC.Rou boasts elite choices among her various outfits. The Red Hat Rou stands out as an exceptional hybrid buffer for Player vs. Player conflicts, offering both offense and defense. Similarly, Nature’s Claw Rou serves as a formidable tank-breaking option with extremely high damage output.
As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I’ve come to appreciate the versatility of characters like Rou in mobile games. Fourthly, what sets Rou apart from many other characters is that her collision damage isn’t reliant on her Attack stat. This means that when building Rou, I can focus on critical stats or tank stats without significantly compromising her power. It’s a game-changer for those of us who like to experiment with different playstyles!
Conclusion
1. Ever since the launch of BD2, White Cat Rou has consistently ranked among the top PVP outfits, demonstrating both the strong game design of BD2 and its effective power creep management.
1. If you haven’t obtained her yet, she might not be worth focusing on for now since better PVP units are likely to emerge. But if you already have her at level +1 or +2, it could be beneficial to invest a small amount to upgrade her to +3 (as the SP cost decreases significantly to 1 at this level, making her more useful in PVP).
After reaching a power level of +3, further upgrades offer additional benefits to enhance her deadly accuracy. However, these enhancements are not mandatory as the existing power at +3 is generally sufficient for inflicting fatal damage in most situations.
