Costume Guide – Night of Jealousy Levia

Exclusive Weapon
Base stats (Lv 100) Max stats (after engraving and awakening)

As a seasoned player who’s been around the block more times than I care to remember, let me tell you about my take on this new NJ.Levia. Now, I’ve seen some powerhouses in my time, but Levia is something else entirely. She’s like a magician with a baton, whipping up a storm of damage that leaves even the toughest opponents quivering for mercy.

Official Patch Notes

Overview

The new queen of flames: massive single target damage combined with high base M.ATK

Pairs very well with TF.Levia for even more damage

One of the best for fiend hunts and Last Night

Not great for PVP due to high cost

Both of Levia’s costumes have 5 cooldown, so she currently has a gap turn on Turn 5.

Levia for PVE

In the mythology of the initial Brown Dust game, Levia, also known as Night of Jealousy, was among the “Dominus Octo.” She was renowned for her immense magical abilities and derived her power from an ancient entity confined within a book, symbolically represented by the hand in the portal behind her. This book served as both her source of power and unique weapon.

With Levia now present in Brown Dust 2, her abilities truly reflect her formidable power as depicted in the lore.

At maximum capacity, Levia consistently strikes her main target four times, each hit dealing three times the original damage, amounting to a staggering total of 1380% damage. This is significantly higher than any other costume in the game and is notable for its unconditional, gimmick-free high damage output. Unlike other costumes that may require HP sacrifice or specific enemy interactions, Levia’s damage multiplier is simply the highest available.

Moreover, Levia boasts impressive fundamental statistics, including a massive 396 base M.ATK and a high base crit rate of 75%. These attributes significantly enhance her offensive potential.

Damage comparison

As a fervent admirer of the elemental realm, I can attest that fire, in particular, boasts an impressive array of formidable attackers. Among Levia’s top three competitors in the fiery arena are POV.Lathel, EA.Eris, and LH.Loen (enhanced by TF.Loen). Let’s delve into a comparison of their prowess at +5 full potential, shall we?

Since Lathel is a starter unit, Lathel’s base ATK (only 275) is much lower than Levia’s M.ATK. POV.Lathel also has a lower damage multiplier (1100%), but makes up for it with a 60% ATK boost on his skill. On our calculations, when attacking “raw” without any buffers, a fully geared POV.Lathel will have roughly similar damage to NJ.Levia, and his damage may even slightly surpass Levia. However, once other ATK/M.ATK buffers are applied, Levia takes the lead because Lathel’s ATK buff does not scale well when stacking with other ATK buffs (for more info on buff scaling, see this costume review as an example).

When EA.Eris attacks with 7 or fewer chain stacks, her attack power increases by 1100%, which is very powerful but not quite as much as Levia’s. EA.Eris also has a lower base attack power (374 compared to Levia’s 396). As a result, EA.Eris can’t reach the same damage potential as Levia, but she excels more in area-of-effect damage rather than single target attacks.

Finally, LH.Loen deals a simple nuke of 750% M.ATK, but TF.Loen can be used in the preceding turn to give herself a 80% M.ATK boost buff. When attacking “raw” without any other buffers, LH.Loen boosted by TF.Loen effectively deals 750% x 1.8 = 1350% damage. This is slightly lower than Levia, though the power gap increases once other buffers are applied due to same-type buff scaling. On top of that, Loen has a much lower base M.ATK (319) than Levia. As you can see, even with the combo setup, Loen can’t match Levia’s damage potential (though Loen is better at AOE damage).

Where to use Levia

To begin with, the additional outfit for Levia, Track and Field Team Captain Levia, is absolutely essential for PVE magic teams. This is due to her ability to apply a debuff on enemies, enhancing all magical damage they receive. Given that you’re likely to have Levia in your magical team, it’s quite logical to upgrade NJ.Levia to enhance the overall damage output of your team. With NJ.Levia boosted by TF.Levia, she can single-handedly guide you through many challenging story and PVE content.

In addition, playing with Levia in Last Night will help boost your abilities significantly due to her extraordinary damage output. If you’re looking for an extra edge to enhance your gameplay in Last Night or haven’t yet surpassed the 110 million damage mark (the threshold needed to earn maximum Awakening Elixir rewards), then Levia could be a valuable addition to your team.

As a gamer, I can’t deny that NJ.Levia is fantastic for taking down wind fiends, and it’s even more impressive when paired with TF.Levia. However, when it comes to essential units for reaching level 10 in wind fiend hunts, NJ.Levia might not be a necessity. That’s because there are numerous other top-tier fire attackers available, some of which even excel at attacking fiends with multiple weak spots with superior area of effect (AOE) performance.

Levia for PVP

In the present PVP scenario, where affordable costumes are favored, Levia’s costumes priced at 4 SP each may not be the best choice due to their higher cost.

Conclusion

NJ.Levia is a very high value pull, especially for those already invested in TF.Levia. Her damage output speaks for itself.

It’s quite possible that Levia will endure for a long time within the game, considering her impressive stats, the valuable functionality of her Track and Field outfit, and her position in lore as a renowned magic practitioner.
