In a video posted to Instagram by British GQ on Tuesday, actor Colman Domingo was asked who he thought was the best-dressed person of the year. Without hesitation, he answered, “Colman Domingo,” which got a laugh from everyone. He jokingly added, “I wish I was lying.”
The interviewer didn’t disagree, and Domingo quickly explained his choice, saying he only highlighted himself to encourage his brothers. “I’m just saying this hoping my brothers will rise to the occasion,” he explained. “It doesn’t always have to be me, but maybe they could try a little harder.” Their lighthearted banter continued to make everyone laugh. The reporter playfully pointed out, “Let’s be honest, it’s usually you. I remember it being you last time, too.”
Domingo acknowledged it felt a bit strange to say, but he maintained his point. “I can’t believe I just said that,” he chuckled, “but it’s actually true!”
