Actor Jacob Bertrand from Cobra Kai is smitten by his co-star Peyton List and can’t help but praise her. In a chat with People magazine, Bertrand (who portrays Eli Moskowitz in the Karate Kid reboot) refers to his girlfriend as his source of inspiration.
In simpler terms, the actor shared that it was List (who portrays Tory Nichols on the show) who motivated him to make daring career moves following the end of the Netflix series in its sixth and last season. He further mentioned that she was the one who strongly advocated for him to direct and write.
Bertrand mentioned that, following List’s encouragement, he has taken up working on a brief movie project of his own. Moreover, he disclosed that his girlfriend serves as his ideal sounding board for thoughts and is the sole individual who genuinely motivates him.
Essentially, they became like family during their time working together on the show, as they initially crossed paths on the set of Disney Channel’s original movie The Swap. Following their reunion in Cobra Kai, their bond grew into a romantic relationship, which they officially acknowledged in March 2022.
Bertrand started acting as a child at 7, first appearing in a commercial, followed by roles on Nickelodeon’s Bubble Guppies and the Disney series Kirby Buckets. On the other hand, List also began her career as a child actor, starring in Disney’s Jessie, its spinoff Bunk’d, and the Diary of a Wimpy Kid movie series.
The actor from Kirby Buckets consistently heap compliments on his partner, explaining why she serves as his primary inspiration. He stated, “She’s simply the most hardworking individual I know across the globe.” Sharing time with her, he confessed, has instilled in him some of her relentless work ethic, or what he calls her “spunk”.
Regarding Bertrand’s artistic endeavors, List stands by him without a hint of criticism. He mentioned that even with her frequent appearances on magazine covers, List maintains an exceptional level of modesty and stability.
The actor from Ready Player One mentioned that another bond between them and their partner, List, is their similar upbringing. He clarified that they both originate from families that are supportive and nurturing of their dreams, which serves to strengthen their connection as a duo.
