Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a strong contender for Game of the Year in 2025, earning excellent reviews – including a positive review from us. With 5 million copies sold globally, the developers at Sandfall Interactive are excited to announce some updates.
Okay, so we still don’t have a release date, but the devs have confirmed Expedition 33 is getting a big update soon! As someone really into the story of this game, I’m super hyped – they’re adding a whole new area to explore with fresh story content. We don’t know *what* the story will be about yet, but the teaser image showed what looks like Verso’s old bedroom, which is interesting. Plus, Verso’s voice actor, Ben Starr, tweeted that he’s doing one last, small recording session for the character, so I’m guessing that’ll tie into the update somehow. I can’t wait to see what happens!

Sandfall is also adding some tough new bosses for players who have reached the end of the game. Considering how difficult some of the original bosses were, it’ll be interesting to see what challenges they create this time. Plus, all the characters will get new costumes, and the game will now support a total of 19 languages.
Since we didn’t get any idea of a date though, we’ll just have to sit tight.
