When playing in the China or Korea realms of Crusader Kings 3’s ‘All Under Heaven,’ you’re constantly striving for Merit to improve your family’s political standing. Having one member rise to a high position can greatly benefit your entire dynasty, but success in the game is never permanent, as characters eventually die. The best strategy is to have your family members use your influence to educate themselves and prepare for their own careers, but they often choose to rely on your success instead of pursuing their own ambitions.
That feature is changing soon! Paradox announced that a new update for Crusader Kings 3 (version 1.18.0.2) will let family heads order their relatives to take exams. This means relatives will travel to the appropriate exams on their own – either Local or Palace Examinations, based on their skills – without needing your direct involvement.
While it can be helpful to be present during family members’ tests – allowing you to potentially assist them – it’s not always possible to be there and handle other responsibilities, like childcare. This new arrangement will be a positive change.
This update includes overall improvements to the Celestial Government, making it easier for Huangdi to manage his army and decide which tributary states to accept.
We’re already preparing another update that will include new visuals for Southeast Asia, better language support, and various bug fixes.
