Cillian Murphy Will Not Be Seen In 28 Years Later; Producer Andrew Macdonald Confirms

Cillian Murphy won’t appear in 28 Years Later, despite an executive role.

Viewers hoping for another on-screen appearance by the Academy Award-winning charm will find themselves let down. Although he serves as an executive producer for the third movie in the franchise, he himself will not make an appearance in it.

Androgen Macdonald clarified that Murphy showed interest, and the production crew felt the same way. Nevertheless, at this point, Murphy will work off-stage. Macdonald continues to hope that the character played by Jim, Murphy, could make an appearance down the line.

McDonald shared with Empire that both they and the individual in question desired his participation. Regrettably, he isn’t part of the initial film, but they are optimistic about potentially incorporating Jim at some point in the future.

Presently, Murphy serves as an executive producer and maintains ties to the show. McDonald has shown interest in teaming up with him as the trilogy unfolds.

He told the outlet, “Currently, he’s serving as an executive producer. It’d be great if we could collaborate with him in some capacity for the trilogy in the future.

In the movie “28 Days Later,” Cillian Murphy portrayed the character Jim, a bike messenger who braved a London infested with a virus. Yet, he was missing from the 2007 sequel, “28 Weeks Later.” However, his role as an executive producer in the third film suggests he remains connected to this series, hinting at a possible future appearance.
