In a fitting tribute to the “E” in Chuck E. Cheese symbolizing ‘entertainment’, the arcade-restaurant chain is living up to its moniker this holiday season. They’ve unveiled plans for their inaugural Chuck E. Cheese animated Christmas special, marking their first venture into the festive TV realm.
As a movie enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that Chuck E. Cheese is teaming up with HappyNest Entertainment – a collaborative effort between UTA and Stampede Ventures – for an exclusive holiday special! This upcoming production, titled “The Chuck E. Cheese Christmas Special“, has already commenced its development and is set to premiere just in time for the festive season. I can hardly wait to see what this collaboration will bring us at Variety first hinted about it!
For Charles Entertainment Cheese, this upcoming Christmas special will mark a new milestone, as it’s filled with talented animation veterans from the industry. The creative minds behind it are Zac Moncrief and Jon Colton Barry, known for their work on Phineas & Ferb and Be Cool Scooby-Doo! They wrote the script and are overseeing production. Bobby Pontillas, who has worked on Moana, Big Hero 6, and Zootopia, designed the characters. The animation is being handled by Pixel Zoo Animation Studios in Brisbane. Lastly, Steve Trenbirth (The Croods: Family Tree, The Jungle Book 2) will be directing, with Moncrief also stepping up as co-director.
The famous mouse, Chuck E. Cheese, managed to gather a skilled group of actors for The Chuck E. Cheese Christmas Special. Nathan Kress from iCarly will play the role of Chuck E. Cheese. In addition, Grey Griffin known for her work in Avatar: The Last Airbender, Nolan North who is famous for his roles in Uncharted, Kari Wahlgren from Rick & Morty, and Fred Tatasciore, best known for his role in Kung Fu Panda 2, will join him to bring holiday joy.
Speaking as a movie buff, let me share that the upcoming special I’m eagerly anticipating won’t just captivate you visually, but it will also delight your ears with original music. The talented quartet of Jon Colton Barry, his legendary father Jeff Barry (a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer), Moncrief, and Ben Bromfield (from “Ginny & Georgia”) have crafted a brand-new Chuck E. Cheese Christmas tune for this special. We’re on tenterhooks to hear what it will sound like when it’s unveiled!
