If you’re not fond of delightful snacks, whether at home or work, it seems like Christopher Abbott has had more than his fair share of luck. In discussing his latest project, Wolf Man, he mentioned that the artificial limbs he needed to bite into for a scene tasted “wonderful” to him when he chewed on them.
In his recent chat with Mama’s Geeky, the actor shared an interesting detail about trying the prosthetics in the fresh remake of the mentioned film. He disclosed that there was an abundance of “sweetness in the artificial blood” he used.
In the film, Abbott mentioned a scene where he appeared to bite his own leg. He went on to describe the experience as both repulsive and somewhat appealing, stating “It was rather unpleasant yet oddly appetizing.
Abbott mentioned a blood-like substance sweetened with sugar and a prosthetic bone resembling white chocolate or an item containing white chocolate. However, he clarified that this wasn’t his preference, but it wasn’t too bad either.
When he saw himself fully transformed into a werewolf for the very first time, the actor burst out laughing unexpectedly. He confessed it was scary, yet also found it absurdly amusing.
During a chat with ScreenRant, Julia Garner, who’s also part of the film, revealed that when she initially saw the Sanctuary actor in the “astonishing” makeup, she found herself unable to take her eyes off the performer.
She remembered finding the situation quite “strange and unusual,” and it was scary at first, but she adjusted to it after spending about three days.
The actress added that the transformation was particularly unsettling when it occurred gradually, since she could still discern hints of Abbott in certain aspects. She explained that while the actor’s complexion and hair changed, he retained his distinctive eyes.
Garner mentioned her belief that to create something frightening, it’s often effective to use something recognizable or common.
