Christina Applegate Slams People Who Are Happy About LA Fires, Says They Don’t Just Affect ‘Stupid Hollywood People’

Christina Applegate didn’t mince words when criticizing insensitive comments from haters about the Los Angeles wildfire disaster. On their January 14 podcast episode, she and Jamie-Lynn Sigler openly talked about the ongoing destruction Hollywood is experiencing.

“There are not really words for it,” Sigler said.

At that point, Applegate voiced her opinion on the matter and criticized those expressing “good riddance” as the city faced destruction. She exclaimed, “Unbelievable people who think it’s great. It’s just Hollywood and those foolish Hollywood types! Honestly, can you believe it?

The actress from Dead to Me pointed out that it’s a common misconception among those not living in L.A. to think that its residents are just celebrities. However, she clarified that the city is home to a diverse community, including builders, artists, hardworking fast food workers, and many more ordinary folks.

When Sigler requested his co-host to disregard the critical remarks, Applegate confessed she had previously dismissed them as “absurd.” Yet, she clarified that she’s currently utilizing her platform to challenge those thoughtless people.
