I imagine Thor would feel a connection with Halle’s character, recognizing a shared ability to control the weather. I’m definitely planning to include Halle in the next installment.
Thor and Storm, both characters in Marvel Comics, have a shared connection through their power over lightning. In fact, Marvel Comics once made Storm an Asgardian goddess and gave her a special hammer called Stormcaster. With the upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars movie, it seems highly likely we’ll see a scene where Storm uses her mutant abilities to summon lightning, which Thor then amplifies and directs at Doctor Doom with his hammer. It would be a perfect pairing of their powers, and Marvel Studios seems unlikely to pass up the opportunity.
Based on Halle Berry’s playful and hesitant responses, many believe she’ll be in Secret Wars as Storm. She’s hinted at future appearances for the character, which strongly suggests this film. Plus, if the rumors about Secret Wars being split into two movies are true, we could see even more of Storm. Now, if we could just get Famke Janssen back as Jean Grey, that would be amazing!
