Actor Anthony Mackie continues to express his opinions about Marvel, this time discussing potential similarities between President Donald Trump and the character Red Hulk, portrayed by Harrison Ford in the upcoming movie “Captain America: Brave New World.
Recently, Mackie has been facing some difficulties after expressing his opinion that Captain America doesn’t symbolize America. In an interview in Rome, Italy, he stated this to fans. However, amidst the ensuing uproar, Mackie clarified his stance by issuing a statement emphasizing his deep-seated American pride and admiration for our military forces.
During an interview with Esquire, Mackie and Evans discussed Evans’ departure from Marvel. The publication additionally probed about likenesses between the Red Hulk character and Trump, to which Mackie responded impassionedly using a few strong words.

Mackie replied to the questioning:
I sincerely wish that, collectively as a nation, we’ve grown weary of our constant political disputes. Why not take a break and enjoy a movie together? It might help ease the tension if only for a while. Even if we painted this situation yellow, it would still be a challenge to overcome.

The film wasn’t altered in any way. Every Marvel movie I’ve worked on has undergone reshoots, but that doesn’t mean it was retooled or remade. You essentially get the movie and story you desire, then film a few additional scenes to polish the final product.
