Actor Charlie Cox, known for his portrayal of the modern-day Daredevil in our screens, has expressed his thoughts regarding the character’s future. He expresses a hope that his “man with the horns” will appear in an upcoming Avengers film.
In an interview with British GQ, the actor stated that the likelihood of a particular event happening is currently greater than it has ever been before. In this same conversation, he also addressed the rumors circulating among fans regarding his participation.
Charlie Cox expressed his enthusiasm about potentially appearing in an Avengers film, another Spider-Man production, or something similar. He offered two main reasons for this desire. As a self-proclaimed “geeky fan” of Daredevil, he feels it would be exciting to see the character receive an upgrade on screen.
During the continuation of the interview, the actor expressed his enthusiasm for potentially appearing in a future Marvel Cinematic Universe production, as he believed it would significantly boost his opportunities for landing film roles.
Back in 2015, Charlie Cox made his debut on screen as a blind attorney during the day and a ruthless vigilante at night in the Netflix series. Initially, Daredevil took viewers by surprise for an impressive three seasons up until 2018. Notably, aside from his work in Daredevil, Cox also starred as the lead in the spin-off series, The Defenders.
In the mentioned show, he appeared together with Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, also featuring Mike Colter portraying Luke Cage and Finn Jones taking on the role of Iron Fist.
Following the conclusion of The Defenders in 2019, Charlie Cox’s Daredevil has been delighting Marvel Cinematic Universe fans with unexpected appearances. He made cameos in Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk, along with other Disney+ series like Echo and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.
