Charlie Cox shares that the upcoming second season of “Daredevil: Born Again” is set to feature a throwback to a pivotal moment from the initial 2015 Netflix series.
In a recent interview with On the Red Carpet, Cox mentioned, “I acted in a flashback scene with another character. However, this flashback takes us back to 2015 when our show began. So I’m revisiting a scene that I originally performed myself. It makes me feel quite nostalgic and somewhat old.
The statement has stirred curiosity among enthusiasts, as Cox hinted at filming a scene with another character, leading some to surmise that Foggy Nelson might be involved.
In my humble opinion, as a film enthusiast, the unexpected demise of Foggy Nelson in the premier episode of “Daredevil: Born Again” came as quite a shock to many viewers, including myself. Yet, it seems our sorrow may be short-lived, for showrunner Dario Scardapane and executive producer Sana Amanat have hinted at Foggy’s potential return to the series. It appears this comeback might unfold via the evocative medium of flashbacks, allowing us a glimpse into Foggy’s past and perhaps unraveling some of the show’s mysteries.
On the other hand, it’s possible that the flashback might feature Jessica Jones, portrayed by Krysten Ritter. It was just revealed by Disney that Ritter will be joining the cast for the second season, thereby confirming that Jessica Jones is now part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
It seems that a gathering of Defenders could be forthcoming, given that Jon Bernthal’s character, The Punisher, has been verified for a comeback too.
