Sonya is a Magic Dark unit that can fulfill either support or carry roles based on how you play her. This modality allows her to be flexible in gameplay usage.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Sonya can adapt to different situations, acting as either a support character or a secondary damage dealer depending on the opponents you’re fighting.

Sonya currently only has 1 costume, limiting her effectiveness as a carry.

Costumes

Sonya’s current costume is called Shadowed Dream. Its special ability makes enemies vulnerable to damage – either with regular vulnerability or a stronger ‘dark vulnerability’ – depending on how many times the enemy has been hit in a chain.

Terra Drain is a special attack that costs 4 SP and takes 3 turns to recharge. It makes the enemy 55% more vulnerable to damage for 4 turns. If the enemy is already vulnerable six or more times, Terra Drain instead makes them 75% vulnerable to Dark attacks. It also deals 50,628 Magic Damage, equal to 300% of your Magic Attack.

This ability applies a weakness to the enemy depending on how many times they’ve been hit in a row. If this attack is the sixth hit or later in a chain, the enemy becomes weak to Dark attacks. Otherwise, they simply become generally vulnerable. Because Dark vulnerability provides a bigger advantage, Sonya works best with Dark teams, though she can still be effective with other team compositions.

She doesn’t significantly boost team damage, making her most effective when used just before your primary damage dealer.

Building Sonya

Ater Hecate is a strong accessory, especially for Sonya. It boosts Magic Attack by 45% and provides Critical Damage, making it ideal when paired with a build focused on Critical Damage.
