Not happy with the Chaos Zero Nightmare character you pulled? Don’t worry! The game makes it easy to reroll, so you can try again to get the Agent you’re hoping for.
If you’re new to gacha games, “rerolling” means restarting your account to use your beginning resources to try and get a better team of characters. Basically, you’re starting over hoping for a stronger or more preferred initial lineup.
Okay, so in CZN, the good news is you don’t need to make a bunch of different accounts to reroll. You can just reset your progress right within the game. The downside? You’re stuck watching all the dialogue every single time, which makes rerolling take a bit longer than I’d like.
Our Chaos Zero Nightmare reroll guide has everything you need to know about the process.
How to reroll in Chaos Zero Nightmare
Follow these steps to reroll your CZN account:
- Play through the tutorial until you’ve completed Chapter 1-2: Eye of the Storm; this includes finishing Prologue 1 and 2 as well as Chapter 1-1: Back to the Blue Pot.
- Pull for characters from the Combatant Rescue banner, the game’s Standard banner, until you get a 5-Star Agent.
- Pull for characters from the Special Rescue Request banner, the game’s Beginner banner, until you get a 5-Star Agent.
- If you’re happy with your pulls, then you’re done at this point — if you want to reroll, continue by entering the main menu and navigate to settings.
- Navigate to the bottom section in settings showing the person as an icon.
- Click the “Reset server” button and then enter your username to confirm.
Step 6 lets you start over with your account, so you can try the process again. Completing the necessary missions usually takes around 20 minutes.
Characters to reroll for in Chaos Zero Nightmare
When starting a new account in CZN, many players aim to get specific characters through rerolling. It’s common to reroll for characters you simply like the most. However, if you’re focusing on building a strong team, some characters are more valuable to obtain than others.
Best reroll characters in CZN
- Mei Lin (DPS) – Mei Lin is a powerful single-target damage dealer and can apply her Attribute to enemies as a Weakness, so she’s useful in most scenarios. She also has tons of self-buffs, making her pretty independent of her team composition. Her sole drawback is a lack of area-of-effect damage.
- Khalipe (Shielder) – Khalipe is a potent shielder and area-of-effect damage dealer with good card draw abilities. Although her strongest cards all come with high AP costs, she can play most of them for free due to their Celestial mechanic.
For focusing damage on a single enemy, Renoa, Hugo, and Rin are all excellent choices. If you need to hit multiple enemies, Kayron is a great pick. Magna, on the other hand, excels at both protecting allies and weakening enemies.
