Channel 4 Star Jack Woodman Jailed for 2.5 Years After Brutal Attacks on Girlfriend: Know What Led to His Sentence

Jack Woodman, who appeared on Channel 4’s Bodyshockers, has been sentenced to two and a half years in prison for physically abusing his ex-girlfriend Crystal Taff over a five-year period. During this time, he inflicted injuries such as breaking her jaw, pulling out chunks of her hair, and making threats with a hair straightener. Earlier this year, he was convicted of causing grievous bodily harm and two instances of actual bodily harm.

Previously, in February, Crystal courageously testified against Woodman at the Bristol Crown Court. In the presence of the judge, she disclosed painful aspects of her relationship with the 33-year-old pawnshop owner.

On three separate instances, Crystal testified that Woodman physically harmed her in the presence of their two kids. She disclosed one instance where he allegedly attacked her at his shop, Jack’s Cash in Bedminster, due to his dissatisfaction with how she cleaned certain store items.

She informed the court, “He stood before me and struck me on the right side of my face, causing immense pain.” Upon which, she exclaimed, “I believe you’ve dislodged my teeth,” to which he retorted, “If you continue talking, I’ll ensure the rest of your teeth follow suit.

Following an X-ray examination, it was found that Crystal had a broken jaw. Consequently, she was recommended to a surgeon at the Bristol Dental Hospital, who advised her to have surgery.

In another account, Crystal described an incident where Woodman attacked her inside his vehicle, yanking a handful of her hair out, resulting in a bald spot. Moreover, she mentioned that he menaced her, warning he would use a hair straightener to burn her because she was weeping.

On Father’s Day in 2022, the third occurrence took place as Crystal retrieved Woodman from a casino, where he had squandered a significant amount of funds.

Following the verdict, Dave Priddle, Crystal’s stepfather, stated that the given sentence was what the family required in light of the agony and torture Woodman inflicted upon Crystal, as reported by The Mirror.

Additionally, Priddle emphasized that this court verdict isn’t merely a triumph for his stepdaughter, but it serves as a win for every woman who has endured domestic abuse.

While Woodman denied the charges, the jury took just two hours to convict him.
