Central Perk Coffee Co. is opening a new location in Times Square, New York City. It’s designed to recreate the famous coffee shop from the TV show *FRIENDS* for a new generation.
The new location is scheduled to open in late 2025, giving fans and visitors a fully immersive experience, including a room designed after the show’s famous orange couch. The menu was developed with guidance from Tom Colicchio, a celebrated chef and James Beard Award winner who also worked on the first location in Boston. Guests will be able to buy exclusive merchandise and all six original coffee blends from Central Perk Coffee Co., available in different forms and sourced sustainably.
According to Peter van Roden, a Warner Bros. Discovery executive, *FRIENDS* is a show that continues to connect with audiences of all ages. A key part of that connection was Central Perk, the famous coffee shop where the characters spent their time in New York City. It was a place filled with laughter, friendship, and memorable moments – and it still feels that way today. Following a successful launch in Boston, they’re thrilled to open a Central Perk Coffeehouse in Times Square, a location that embodies the show’s energy and widespread popularity, especially since the series was originally set in New York City.
Paul Landino of CenPer Holdings, LLC, explained that when they opened the first Central Perk Coffeehouse in Boston, they always planned to expand to New York City – the iconic setting of the show. He said opening a location in Times Square is an incredible chance to make that dream a reality, offering fans and visitors a place to enjoy unique coffee drinks and tasty food in a space that feels both classic and new.
