Celebs Who Are Rude To Flight Attendants

It’s common for celebrities to enjoy luxurious travel perks, but some have earned a bad reputation for how they behave on planes. Flight attendants and airline staff already work in stressful situations, and dealing with famous passengers who ignore safety rules or act demanding only makes things worse. These incidents have ranged from shouting to physical fights, often requiring police involvement and resulting in the celebrities being banned from airlines. These events show how conflicts can happen when a celebrity’s expectations don’t align with the rules of flying.

Naomi Campbell

In 2008, the supermodel was arrested at Heathrow Airport following a heated argument about a lost bag that turned violent. Reports say she verbally attacked British Airways employees and then spat at and kicked police officers who intervened. As a result, the airline initially banned her for life, but later lifted the ban. She ultimately admitted to assault and was ordered to perform community service.

Alec Baldwin

In 2011, actor Alec Baldwin was asked to leave an American Airlines flight from Los Angeles to New York after a disagreement with a flight attendant. He was playing a game on his phone and wouldn’t turn it off when asked during takeoff. Witnesses said Baldwin became verbally aggressive and even slammed the bathroom door with enough force that the pilot had to get involved. Baldwin later apologized to his fellow passengers but also voiced concerns about the airline’s rules.

Justin Bieber

In 2014, the singer was involved in an incident on a private jet traveling from Canada to New Jersey. According to the crew, the singer and those with him filled the cabin with marijuana smoke, which forced them to use oxygen masks. The singer and his father were also accused of verbally abusing a flight attendant, who had to go to the cockpit for safety. The Federal Aviation Administration officially documented the event in a report.

Josh Duhamel

In 2010, Josh Duhamel was asked to leave a flight after refusing to turn off his BlackBerry phone. Flight attendants said they asked him three times to power down his device before takeoff from LaGuardia Airport in New York. Instead of following their instructions, Duhamel allegedly made fun of the crew. The plane had to return to the gate so security could remove him.

Kate Moss

In 2015, supermodel Kate Moss was asked to leave an EasyJet flight after causing a disturbance and using offensive language towards the flight crew. Passengers reported she insulted the pilot, calling her a “basic b” when she wasn’t served alcohol on the flight from Turkey to London. Although she wasn’t arrested, police were waiting at the gate to handle the situation. EasyJet confirmed Moss was removed from the flight due to her disruptive behavior.

Courtney Love

In 2003, the singer was arrested at Heathrow Airport after arriving on a flight from Los Angeles. Airline crew reported she became verbally aggressive and used offensive language during the flight after being told she couldn’t change seats. The pilot contacted the police, and after being warned about her behavior, she was released without being formally charged.

David Hasselhoff

In 2006, David Hasselhoff was prevented from taking a flight at Heathrow Airport because he was intoxicated. Airport staff said he seemed disoriented and acted aggressively when told he couldn’t fly. The airline explained they wouldn’t let him travel due to safety concerns and his behavior towards staff. Hasselhoff later admitted to the incident and sought treatment for alcohol issues.

Blac Chyna

Reality TV star Chyna was arrested in 2016 at the Austin airport after an incident on a flight. Police say she was loud and abusive towards a flight attendant and seemed very drunk during a stopover. Passengers reported she was yelling and acting aggressively before being removed from the plane and taken into custody. She was later charged with public intoxication and drug possession.

Gérard Depardieu

In 2011, French actor Gérard Depardieu caused a major disruption on a flight from Paris to Dublin. When told the restrooms were locked during takeoff, he allegedly urinated in the aisle. This forced the plane to return to the gate for cleaning, causing a two-hour delay for everyone on board. While those traveling with Depardieu said he had attempted to use the restroom but couldn’t wait, the airline strongly criticized his behavior as unhygienic and disrespectful to the flight crew.

Tara Reid

Okay, so this is a bit of a wild story. Back in 2018, I read that Natasha Lyonne – you know, the actress from ‘American Pie’ and so much more – was taken off a Delta flight. Apparently, she got really upset because her assigned seat was wrong and they hadn’t given her a pillow. The flight attendants tried to calm things down, but the pilot ended up having her removed from the plane. She later said she was just annoyed about the seating mix-up, but Delta maintained that her behavior was disruptive, which is why they asked her to leave.

Christian Slater

In 1994, the actor was arrested at JFK airport after airport security found a loaded gun in his carry-on luggage. Witnesses said he was also difficult and confrontational with airline staff during check-in. He later reached a deal where, instead of facing other penalties, he agreed to volunteer and work with homeless children. This incident is remembered as a major airport security issue involving a celebrity.
