Skybound Entertainment, the company co-founded by Kirkman, creator of The Walking Dead and Invincible, is teaming up with Hasbro Entertainment to create a new animated series called Energon Universe. This series will combine characters and storylines from Transformers, G.I. Joe, and Void Rivals. Joe Henderson, known for his work on Lucifer, will be the writer and showrunner. The creators are currently pitching the series to streaming services and television networks.

I just saw an interview with the director of Superman on BobaTalks, and he was talking about the future of the DCU. He said he has big plans, but it might not be him actually carrying them out. It’s all happening while Warner Bros. Discovery is potentially being sold, so things are definitely up in the air!

As part of a previously announced plan, these will become a separate company in 2026, splitting the business into two main parts: one for streaming and studios like Warner Bros., and another for traditional TV networks like Discovery Global.
