According to Variety, the studio is planning a new “Star Trek” film and won’t be bringing back the actors from the recent movies—Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, and Karl Urban. This means they’re starting fresh with a new story and won’t be continuing the timeline that began with the 2009 film.
