Washington D.C.’s “The Penguin,” featuring Colin Farrell, garnered nominations for Best Limited or Anthology Series, Best Actor (Farrell), Best Actress (Cristin Milioti), and Best Supporting Actress (Deirdre O’Connell). Directors Helen Shaver and Jennifer Getzinger, as well as writer Lauren LeFranc, also received individual nominations. In my humble opinion, the impressive opening of the DCU reboot has catapulted it to a position that trails only the legendary performances of The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, and Batman v Superman – all of which earned more on their respective premier Mondays (without factoring in inflation). However, it surpasses both Suicide Squad and Man of Steel in this regard, making it a formidable contender in the DC Universe.
