The trailer received criticism for a few things, notably a line where Hal Jordan says he’s the only human Green Lantern. This confused viewers, as Guy Gardner, played by Nathan Fillion, is already established in the DC Universe. Fans are wondering if this was an oversight by James Gunn and the team, or if they didn’t consider the existing storyline.

This change is a result of Embracer Group, which bought Dark Horse in 2022. While Mike Richardson continued to lead the company after the purchase, he has now been succeeded by Jay Komas, who will act as the temporary CEO.

As a huge cinema fan, I was really excited for the Green Lantern series trailer, especially with Kyle Chandler as Hal Jordan and Aaron Pierre as John Stewart. Honestly, I – like a lot of other fans – was hoping to see a real sense of the vastness of space and those iconic, glowing energy creations that make Green Lantern so special. It felt like that was missing from what we saw.

The teaser keeps things grounded, and we know it’s “mature” because of the f-bombs.
