Stellar Blade PC Demo Impressions – Great, With Some Technical Drawbacks

Approximately a year and a bit since its announcement, the highly anticipated title “Stellar Blade” is set to launch on PC this coming June 11th. Excited PC gamers won’t have to wait long as they can already download a demo of the game from Steam and Epic Games Store. The demo contains an initial portion of the game to explore, providing a taste of its gameplay mechanics and performance. After trying out the demo myself, I must admit that I found it quite enjoyable, barring one significant flaw.

Stellar Blade Just Got a Surprise PC Demo

For those who haven’t heard, “Stellar Blade” is a critically acclaimed action game developed by South Korean studio Shift Up, famous for “Goddess of Victory: Nikke.” In this game, you assume the role of Eve, a freedom fighter dispatched to Earth to battle the Naytibas, an aggressive alien species determined to annihilate mankind. Employing action-packed combat similar to that seen in games like “Bayonetta” and “Nier: Automata,” you’ll face whatever challenges come your way in an effort to save what remains of humanity. In our review of the game, we awarded it 4 out of 5 stars, praising its deep combat systems and striking creature designs within a relatively condensed gaming experience. Although there has been some debate about Eve’s costume design, the exciting gameplay and intriguing world have earned it a PC release and, subsequently, a demo.

Stellar Blade PC Features, Explored

Stellar Blade is now available on PC, with pre-orders currently open on Steam and the Epic Games Store. It’s interesting to note that this PC release comes as a surprise given the game’s initial exclusivity on PS5. However, developer Shift Up isn’t stopping at just making it available on PC. Instead, they’ve got some exciting extras planned for fans of Stellar Blade, including new features tailored for PC users, additional downloadable content, and much more.

Stellar Blade is region locked on PC even without PSN, dev is as surprised as players

Just now, Stellar Blade has debuted on Steam, offering details about the game such as price and system specifications, and allowing for pre-orders. Unfortunately, it’s disappointing to note that Stellar Blade isn’t accessible in approximately 129 countries, much like Helldivers 2. In Helldivers 2’s case, a PSN account is needed, which isn’t available worldwide. Initially, players assumed Stellar Blade would follow the same pattern. However, surprisingly, the situation with Stellar Blade is even more peculiar.
