In the grand finale clash between Deadpool and Wolverine, the duo faces an enormous enemy force made up of numerous Deadpool versions, infamously called “the Deadpool Corps” in the comic books. Johnny Storm, unfortunately, found himself in a precarious situation alongside Deadpool and Wolverine against Cassandra Nova’s minions in “Deadpool & Wolverine.” During their capture, the Human Torch tried to evade detection until they were all brought to Nova’s compound. However, Deadpool’s infamous loose tongue resulted in him blabbing about Johnny’s supposed betrayal of the Void despot during their drive. Though Johnny protested his innocence, Nova didn’t believe him and brutally stripped his skin off. The reason for Wade’s deceitful claims and the endangerment of Johnny remains unclear. The post-credits scene in “Deadpool & Wolverine” hinted that Deadpool may not have been entirely truthful about this event (most likely).

In “Deadpool & Wolverine,” Matthew Macfadyen’s character, Paradox, presented an alluring proposition to Wade Wilson (Deadpool) in an attempt to lure him out of his universe. He proposed that Deadpool could become a member of the Avengers, showing him past accomplishments of Earth-616’s most powerful heroes as evidence. However, during this pitch, Paradox inadvertently revealed something Deadpool wasn’t supposed to see.
