It’s a bit strange to think we didn’t hear his roar in classic novels like Great Expectations, but we’re accepting it! The new comic, Romeo & Juliet and Godzilla, takes Shakespeare’s famous play and adds a giant monster twist. Expect the story to mix family feuds, a blossoming romance, and massive destruction in Verona – that famous balcony probably won’t survive! Each issue also includes a separate five-page story by Tom Scioli, beginning with Robin Hood and the Monster of Nottingham – and it’s not hard to guess who that monster is!

Kathleen Kennedy is stepping down as head of Lucasfilm as new Star Wars films prepare for release. Jon Favreau’s The Mandalorian and Grogu, co-written with Dave Filoni, is scheduled to premiere this May, and Shawn Levy’s Star Wars: Starfighter will follow in May of next year. Kennedy will stay on as a producer for both films before transitioning to independent producing work.

As a lifelong movie fan, I’ve always been fascinated by characters who have striking doubles – whether they’re legendary partners, brave heroes, loyal sidekicks, or even notorious villains. Some of the best performances in cinema history, in my opinion, come from these incredible doppelgangers.

Okay, so you’re probably thinking this sounds completely insane, and honestly, A24 initially thought so too when the Safdie brothers first suggested it. But it’s true! The director actually talked about it on a recent A24 podcast with Sean Baker, the guy who did Anora. Apparently, the original idea for the ending was WILD. It would have jumped ahead to the 1980s, showing an older Marty taking his granddaughter to a show. Then, totally out of nowhere, O’Leary’s character would appear and… bite Marty in the neck! Turns out, he’s a vampire. Seriously! It’s a pretty big shift from what we actually got, huh?

If you enjoyed the scary atmosphere and kid-focused storylines of shows like Stranger Things, you’ll likely love Welcome to Derry. It follows a group of children confronting a terrifying, otherworldly villain – in this case, the iconic Pennywise the Dancing Clown, instead of Vecna. The show is intense, often gruesome, and genuinely excellent. It offers a fresh and unique origin story for Pennywise. As a fan of both series, the similarities are striking, which is why Welcome to Derry is a must-watch.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, 77-year-old author George R.R. Martin discussed his current projects while at his home in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He shared his enthusiasm for the A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms series and remained undecided about completing The Winds of Winter – let alone the next book in the series. However, the most surprising part of the conversation was Martin’s surprisingly frank assessment of his working relationship – or lack of one – with Ryan Condal on House of the Dragon.

Despite some initial worries, Vecna is definitely still dead. The strange sounds and smoke everyone noticed actually came from Saturday Night Live cast member Sarah Sherman after she ate some really hot beef cubes! It looks like SNL is still relying on classic physical comedy, even after 50 years. And this Stranger Things promo is just the beginning – we can expect plenty more jokes about the show. We’re guessing they’ll have fun with the fact that the Hawkins kids are now adults, and maybe even make some comments about Steve Harrington’s hair. We wouldn’t be surprised if they joked about Mike Wheeler’s limited role in the final season, either – that would be hilarious!

Back in 2016, if someone had predicted Steve Harrington would become a beloved, central figure and the most developed character in Stranger Things, most people would have dismissed it as impossible. But that’s exactly what happened over the course of the hit Netflix series, which concluded in 2025. Steve transformed from a self-absorbed high schooler focused on romance into a courageous protector who consistently put himself in danger for his friends. Now, it’s hard to imagine the story in Hawkins, Indiana, without Steve Harrington playing a vital role in battling the supernatural threats.
