Marvel Studios Confirms AVENGERS: SECRET WARS Will End the Multiverse Saga
The Infinity Saga, which spanned from the release of Iron Man in 2008 to Spider-Man: Far From Home in 2019, is one of the most remarkable stories in Hollywood history. Over a period of 11 years and 23 films, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) garnered unprecedented box office revenues and critical acclaim. However, its successor, The Multiverse Saga, hasn’t quite matched up. Despite being a massive hit, as evidenced by Deadpool & Wolverine’s billion-dollar earnings at the box office, it faced Marvel’s first commercial flop, and was perhaps overwhelmed by too much content all at once. As per Marvel’s Brad Winderbaum, who spoke to ScreenRant, the Multiverse Saga will not continue indefinitely like its predecessor. Avengers: Secret Wars, scheduled for release in 2027, will mark its conclusion.
