So, I’m hearing that the Batman script has been in the works since last fall, and it sounds amazing. The core idea – Batman finding out he has a teenage son, Damian, who’s been raised as a tiny assassin by the League of Shadows – is still the focus. Trevor Slattery is first introduced in Iron Man 3 as someone who seems to be the Mandarin, a dangerous terrorist. He appears in videos taking responsibility for bombings, including one that injures Happy Hogan, Tony Stark’s head of security. This leads a traumatized Tony Stark to publicly challenge the Mandarin and expose his location. The Mandarin retaliates, forcing Tony to leave his home and team up with Rhodey to find him.
