Lionsgate is moving forward with a sequel to Dirty Dancing, enlisting producers Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson, who also worked on The Hunger Games and Crazy Rich Asians. Kim Rosenstock, known for Dying for Sex, is writing the screenplay. Jennifer Grey, who played Baby in the original film, expressed her excitement about the project, saying she’s been thinking about Baby’s future for years and is thrilled to have found the right team to continue the story. Production is expected to begin later this year.

Although Barbie never says Ken’s full name in the films, it’s officially Kenneth Sean Carson. He was named after the son of the people who created Mattel, Ruth and Elliot Handler.

Let’s quickly recap what this show is about. “Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen” is a spooky horror series that takes place during the week leading up to a wedding. It follows the bride and groom, and the show’s description openly admits something terrible will happen – it’s right there in the title!

According to Tomohisa Yamashita, a central idea in the second season is forgiveness, particularly within families. He believes that while forgiving others is often hard, it’s essential for true happiness. Yamashita hopes the characters Issei and Camille can resolve their issues and find a path forward, and honestly, we’re worried about where their story is headed if they don’t.

Like the previous DC collections Batman: The World and Joker: The World, Supergirl: The World features stories set in different countries. This new book takes Supergirl to locations including Germany, Italy, Brazil, and Japan, as well as several others like Cameroon, France, and the United States. DC Comics explains that each story is unique to its region, showcasing local artistic styles and cultural viewpoints. It’s a great way to rediscover Supergirl before her movie comes out in June.

I wanted to create something that felt separate enough from everything already happening in that universe, something with its own unique vibe. They’ve already got so much going on, and I figured to really contribute, I needed to do my own thing.
