Omega in Monster Hunter Wilds is exactly what I would expect as a Final Fantasy XIV raider, and that’s cool

The Omega Planetes boss in Monster Hunter: World is inspired by a boss of the same name from Final Fantasy XIV. While the Behemoth monster in Monster Hunter: World was based on content from an earlier Final Fantasy XIV raid, Omega is unique because it comes from a later, more challenging raid. Interestingly, all Final Fantasy XIV players will likely have faced Behemoth now, as its original raid is now part of the game’s main storyline. Omega, however, remains an optional encounter, only briefly appearing in the game after the main Heavensward story.

Elden Ring saxophone slayer is “almost done” playing Silksong with his improbable controller, skillfully doot-ing his way through one of the most painful platforming sections

Dr. Doot, a Twitch streamer, has become well-known for uniquely playing video games while simultaneously playing the saxophone. Recently, they’ve been tackling the challenging game Silksong using their custom controller/instrument, and they’re making even the most difficult parts look surprisingly easy – honestly, it’s a little embarrassing for me!

THE WIZARD OF OZ May Have Invented This Common Piece of Clothing

You know, I was watching this video and it got me thinking about *The Wizard of Oz*. Apparently, nobody’s quite sure where the idea for those graphic tees we all wear came from. The video says it’s possible the costume designer saw one somewhere, but most experts believe he actually *created* the concept specifically for the movie! It’s wild to think that such a classic film – and seriously, *The Wizard of Oz* is one of the biggest movies ever – might be responsible for this everyday piece of clothing we all have in our closets now. It’s a pretty cool thought!

MAGIC: THE GATHERING x STAR TREK Announced for 2026

In 2026, *Magic: The Gathering* will be teaming up with several other popular franchises, including Marvel Super Heroes in June and *The Hobbit* in August. It’s unclear if other parts of the *Star Trek* universe will be included. Notably, the Captain Kirk depicted in the artwork strongly resembles William Shatner, indicating Wizards of the Coast has secured the rights to use his likeness. We’ll find out which other actors are featured when the *Magic: The Gathering x Star Trek* set releases next year.

The Big Twist in PEACEMAKER Could Introduce Deep Cut DC Team

To understand the origins of the Freedom Fighters, we need to look back at the early days of comic books in the 1940s. That was a time when superheroes were incredibly popular, and many different companies started publishing them. Besides DC Comics, there were publishers like Timely Comics (which later became Marvel), Fawcett (known for Shazam!), Charlton Comics, and Quality Comics. Quality Comics created heroes such as the patriotic Uncle Sam and Plastic Man, but like many publishers, they went out of business when the initial superhero craze died down. Years later, DC Comics acquired the rights to characters from Quality, as they had also done with Fawcett and Charlton. This leads us to the 1970s.

Bloodstream Wants to Pay an Intern $666 To Watch Scary Movies

Screambox, a streaming service, is offering a unique internship: a ‘Thrilltern.’ The chosen applicant will get paid $666 to watch five of the platform’s scariest movies by October 24th. They’ll also receive a $50 Uber Eats gift card and a free year-long subscription to Screambox. The service will cover the subscription cost during the challenge, which is estimated to take around 10 hours to complete. (Last year’s similar job involved a 24-hour horror movie marathon, making this a much more manageable commitment.)
