In the latest episode of the Peacemaker podcast (as reported by /Film), James Gunn addressed a statement made by his friend and season two actor, Michael Rooker. Rooker had suggested that writers always picture a particular actor when creating a role, even if that actor doesn’t ultimately play it. Gunn disagreed, explaining that he originally wrote the part of the secret alien, Butterfly Clemson Murn, in season one for Lance Reddick. When Reddick was unavailable, Gunn cast Chukwudi Iwuji, who delivered a truly excellent performance. (Iwuji later appeared in Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.)

As most of us fans know, Damian Lillard is set to appear in the second season of the MCU’s Daredevil: Born Again. I’m really looking forward to learning more about his role and what the show has in store when it arrives on Disney+ in 2026. But, at Los Angeles Comic Con 2026, Lillard shared that he’d love to work with James Gunn again in the DCU. Variety reports that the two previously collaborated on Scooby-Doo and Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed-a fun bit of trivia for us movie buffs!

The Hollywood Reporter was the first to announce that Disney+’s Simpsons FAST channel is celebrating Halloween by showing every Treehouse of Terror episode in order. This is all part of Disney’s yearly Huluween event. THR was also informed by Disney that the Treehouse channel will feature “a few scary surprises.”

Zootopia 2 will come to theaters on November 26.

I’m completely captivated by the story of Jay Kelly, this incredibly famous movie actor! It follows him as he really tries to figure things out, looking back on both the good and the bad in his life. He’s not doing it alone, thankfully – his loyal manager, Ron, is right there with him. It sounds like a really moving experience, full of both heartbreaking moments and genuinely funny ones, a beautiful blend of regrets and glories, if that makes sense. I’m so excited to see where this journey takes him!

Who’s a good boy? This dog definitely is, and he’s earned a huge reward for dealing with all the spooky things happening around him. Good Boy presents a haunted house story, but it’s told from the dog’s perspective. And we think that’s a brilliant idea!
