It’s unusual, but Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, the show’s creator, also wrote the original comic book series the show is based on. Only ten issues of the comic were ever released, meaning the show will likely expand significantly on the source material. Riverdale was a hit for the CW, lasting for seven seasons. Initially, the show was a fairly typical, updated take on the classic Archie characters. However, it became increasingly strange as it progressed, though it notably avoided using zombies. Even though Riverdale concluded in 2023, Afterlife with Archie will almost certainly feature a new cast playing Archie and his friends.

Lionsgate has announced that The Whole Bloody Affair will be shown in theaters across the country starting December 5th. This version cuts out the recap and narration that appeared at the beginning of the second half of the film. A brand-new, 7½-minute animated sequence will also be included in this theatrical release. The film will be shown in select theaters in both 70mm and 35mm formats, and it’s expected to play in major cities everywhere. The 70mm version will likely be screened at the Vista and New Beverly cinemas, both owned by Quentin Tarantino. And that makes perfect sense!

The Jane Goodall Institute shared the sad news of the passing of its founder, Dr. Jane Goodall, earlier today, Wednesday, October 1, 2025. According to a statement released by the organization, Dr. Goodall DBE, a UN Messenger of Peace, died peacefully of natural causes while in California for a speaking engagement in the United States. The Institute highlighted that Dr. Goodall’s groundbreaking work as an ethologist fundamentally changed the field of science, and she passionately dedicated her life to protecting and restoring the environment. She was a tireless advocate for our planet.
