This wasn’t what we intended at all. We were concerned it would overshadow Ezra’s storyline and felt like a rehash of something we’d already done. The idea of Sabine becoming a Jedi felt unnecessary, considering she’s already such a skilled and unique warrior. I wasn’t involved in the Ahsoka series, so I was surprised by this direction. What I appreciate about the Darksaber storyline is that you don’t need to be a Jedi to embody Jedi principles – that’s the more important aspect, rather than suddenly having Sabine use powerful Force abilities when she has no prior experience.

It felt a little awkward having to stand on a box to kiss her, since she’s a good foot taller than I am. But overall, I felt okay about it. She actually recommended the movie to me, but surprisingly didn’t pick up on the romantic connection I saw between the characters. I remember thinking, ‘Don’t they seem like a couple?’

From the beginning of Stranger Things, the father in the Wheeler family has been present. However, throughout the entire series, he’s never actually been helpful. The connection between Ryland and Rocky was the strongest part of the book, so it’s great to see that humor come through.

A recent profile in Deadline about Sadie Sink’s career—as she prepares for her West End debut in Romeo & Juliet with Noah Jupe—mentioned a possible role for her in an upcoming Avengers movie. The article suggests filming could begin in 2026, which would fit with the planned release of Secret Wars in 2027.
