This wasn’t what we intended at all. We were concerned it would overshadow Ezra’s storyline and felt like a rehash of something we’d already done. The idea of Sabine becoming a Jedi felt unnecessary, considering she’s already such a skilled and unique warrior. I wasn’t involved in the Ahsoka series, so I was surprised by this direction. What I appreciate about the Darksaber storyline is that you don’t need to be a Jedi to embody Jedi principles – that’s the more important aspect, rather than suddenly having Sabine use powerful Force abilities when she has no prior experience.
It felt a little awkward having to stand on a box to kiss her, since she’s a good foot taller than I am. But overall, I felt okay about it. She actually recommended the movie to me, but surprisingly didn’t pick up on the romantic connection I saw between the characters. I remember thinking, ‘Don’t they seem like a couple?’
From the beginning of Stranger Things, the father in the Wheeler family has been present. However, throughout the entire series, he’s never actually been helpful. He hasn’t rescued anyone from the monsters, stopped any of the shady government agents from harming children, or even realized when his own kids were gone.
It’s unclear if Walton Goggins is trying to be cast as the Grinch in a new movie, but the idea is so good, someone in Hollywood is probably already working on it. As the Grinch perfectly (and a little cheekily) says in a recent ad, it’s going to be a viral moment! And he’s right – putting Walton Goggins in a Grinch costume is definitely something people will be talking about, and we’re joining the conversation.
Will future generations fondly remember today’s holidays the way we remember those from the past? Absolutely. The holidays of your childhood will always feel the most special as an adult. That’s simply how memory works. So, someday, Generation Alpha will look back with affection on their virtual celebrations and online shopping experiences. It’s bound to happen. For now, those of us who grew up with more traditional holidays can relive those memories until the new year.
Tasha Huo, the showrunner, previously shared that she always aims to portray different cultures in a way that is both fun and informative, while also being respectful. This approach is especially important when dealing with figures like the Orishas.
Bowser, usually Mario’s enormous enemy, appears surprisingly small in the new teaser. This miniature version of the Koopa King, voiced by Jack Black, throws a fit over a painting while looking up at Mario and Luigi. He quickly calms down, though, joking that he’s “still working through his demons.”
It’s odd that even with detailed character customization options, like Smart Customization, you can’t actually change your character’s hair color. This seems out of place given how thorough the character creation process is.
The alien, Rocky, looks like a charmingly simple, stone spider – almost like a child’s drawing! And it’s not just a comparison to the character in the original book. This trailer gives us our first look at Rocky, and he’s fantastic! He’s also surprisingly funny, which is a really good sign for the movie. The connection between Ryland and Rocky was the strongest part of the book, so it’s great to see that humor come through.
