As a gamer diving into the world of Avowed, I can’t help but be captivated by each of the game’s companions – Kai, Giatta, Marius, and Yatzli. Each one has their own charm, but none quite match up to Kai when it comes to staying in my memory and adding depth to the game. This isn’t surprising, considering that Kai has been a prominent figure in Avowed’s marketing, almost as if Obsidian knew the lasting impression he would make on both the game and its players.

While Giatta, Marius, and Yatzli each bring something unique to the table as video game companions, it’s Kai’s intriguing backstory, endearing personality, and battlefield adaptability that make him the standout star of Avowed.

One of the community’s suggested modifications is that players can no longer sell upgrade components to vendors, as this makes it more difficult for them to improve their characters without these resources. However, Obsidian has plans to create a lasting solution where players will be able to purchase those materials back from the merchants in the long run.

The initial five-day early access for players who bought the premium edition of the game wasn’t met with much enthusiasm, and there was growing dissatisfaction about some role-playing aspects in Avowed. However, despite these negative feelings, Avowed has been well-received critically, boasting an average score of 82 on OpenCritic. Supporters of Avowed are pleased with the game, but they’ve been displeased by the negative opinions emerging from content creators and influencers. It’s worth mentioning that when it first launched, Avowed received “Very Positive” reviews on Steam, and this positive reception has continued after its official release.

In the quest titled “Ancient Soil,” players uncover that the voice they’ve been hearing belongs to Sapadal, a once revered deity forgotten by time. This enigmatic figure appears as a hybrid of man and architecture with elements of a tree. As Sapadal communicates with the players, he extends an offer for extraordinary abilities.

After investing approximately 2 hours in the character builder, I tinkered further with the game’s graphic settings for around 2 more hours, resulting in this balanced setup that ensures both smooth gameplay performance (FPS) and appealing visuals.

At the outset of the “Wedding Crashers” mission in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you’ll have to assist either the Miller or the Blacksmith. Both can escort Henry to the wedding, but if you prefer a direct approach, it’s recommended to aid the Blacksmith. Conversely, helping the Miller will involve sneaking and pilfering some items. If stealth isn’t your preferred playstyle, opt for the Blacksmith instead.
