I was so moved by Ben Stiller’s documentary about his parents, Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara. It’s a beautiful look at the lives and careers of this incredible comedy duo. He uses old home movies, clips from their TV appearances, and interviews to really show you who they were, both on and off stage. It’s fascinating to hear from family and colleagues about how much of an impact they had over the years. Honestly, it quickly became the most popular movie on Apple TV+ when it was released, and it’s easy to see why – it’s a truly special film.

Shenmue, a landmark game for the Dreamcast, was incredibly ambitious for its time, offering a level of detail and realistic daily life simulation rarely seen before. Mistaken for Earth’s representative, he causes a bit of delightful chaos and has to think on his feet. Directed by Adrian Molina and featuring the voices of Yonas Kibreab and America Ferrera, the film is full of creative alien characters and focuses on themes of family and understanding. It’s currently the most popular movie on Disney+.

The series centers around Issei Hyoudou, whose life changes forever after a disastrous first date results in him becoming a devil serving Rias Gremory. Based on Ichiei Ishibumi’s light novels, the show combines everyday high school life with exciting conflicts between devils, angels, and fallen angels. Over four seasons and more than forty episodes, the story explores various arcs, with characters gaining new powers and forming different teams. The first three seasons were animated by TNK, while Passione took over for the fourth.

Celine Song’s first film tells the story of two friends whose lives are pulled apart when one immigrates. Years later, they reunite in New York, and the movie explores how chance, language, and shared memories continue to connect them. Starring Greta Lee, Teo Yoo, and John Magaro, this decades-long story is inspired by the director’s own life. It’s been praised for its excellent writing and acting and will be available to stream on Max starting November 2nd.

Liam Neeson stars in a funny, new installment of the classic police parody series, directed by Akiva Schaffer and coming to Paramount+ in 2025.
