A new documentary about journalist and filmmaker Brent Renaud premieres on HBO Max on Tuesday, October 21st. The film honors Renaud’s life and work, following his career and the impact he made, tragically cut short while reporting in Ukraine. Directed by his brother, Craig Renaud, it uses decades of footage the Renaud brothers captured in dangerous locations like Iraq, Afghanistan, and Haiti. The filmmakers were mentored by documentarian Jon Alpert. Featuring insights from Renaud’s colleagues, the 37-minute film explores the challenges and artistry of reporting from conflict zones and offers a look at the process of creating immersive documentaries.

Directed by Will Gluck, ‘Anyone But You’ is a witty and contemporary romantic comedy loosely based on Shakespeare’s ‘Much Ado About Nothing.’ The film stars Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell as Bea and Ben, former flames who pretend to be a couple at a wedding in Australia. The cast also features Alexandra Shipp, GaTa, Hadley Robinson, Michelle Hurd, Dermot Mulroney, Darren Barnet, Bryan Brown, and Rachel Griffiths. Ilana Wolpert and Will Gluck wrote the screenplay. It will be released on Monday, October 20th.

However, the planet’s stable surface and the quick nature of the mission don’t align with what these forces would realistically cause.

Directed by Francis Lawrence, ‘The Long Walk’ is a new movie based on a novel by Stephen King (writing as Richard Bachman). It stars Cooper Hoffman, David Jonsson, Charlie Plummer, and Mark Hamill. The film takes place in a bleak future America and follows a group of boys forced to compete in a relentless walking contest where the penalty for slowing down is death, and only one can survive. Lionsgate is releasing this tense survival thriller, and details about the story, filmmakers, and release date have been announced.

Wow, after absolutely dominating the music charts for a while, she took a swing at acting with ‘Glitter.’ Honestly, it didn’t really land well – critics and audiences weren’t impressed. The soundtrack did okay, but the movie itself became a bit of a joke and even got nominated for a bunch of Razzies! She did some other films after that, like ‘WiseGirls,’ and had a really strong, dramatic part in ‘Precious’ that people actually praised. But even with that good role, ‘Glitter’ is still often brought up as an example of what not to do when a musician tries to become a movie star. It’s a shame, but it’s true!
