After some earlier movies in the series divided audiences, Warner Bros. wanted a different feel for this film. When director Zack Snyder had to leave during editing because of a family emergency, the studio brought in Joss Whedon to reshoot a lot of the movie. The network just released a 30-second teaser for the new season. It features JD, Turk, and Elliot walking through Sacred Heart Hospital, set to the song “Big Dawg” by Quise.B. JD playfully greets a group of new interns with “I’m back, baby!”, but they look confused because they haven’t met him before.
